US' Holbrooke to visit after Pakistan, Afghanistan

The US special representative to Afghanistan and Pakistan, Richard Holbrooke, is set to visit Turkey by the end of this month to attend a high-level meeting of members of the Friends of Democratic Pakistan Group (FoDP), which was launched in New York last September, on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly. The founding member states of the FoDP include the UK, France, Germany, the US, China, the United Arab Emirates, Canada, Turkey, Australia and Italy, plus the UN and the European Union. At the upcoming Istanbul meeting, a total of 24 member states and international organizations are expected to be represented.
