German President Christian Wulff, on an official visit to Israel , yesterday reiterated his support for Turkey 's EU accession talks, stressing that its negotiations must be fair. Speaking to Israeli daily Yedioth Ahronot, Wulff said, "Germans are greatly interested to see Turkey move forward towards Europe . The EU and Turkey have been negotiating for membership since 2005. Will the talks end with full Turkish membership in the EU? That depends on how the negotiations proceed. They must be open and fair. I believe Turkey has already accomplished certain things and must make every effort to guarantee successful continuation (of the talks)." Wulff made a landmark visit to Turkey this October.
