Yılmaz selected top Central Bank governor

Euromoney magazine has selected Turkish Central Bank head Durmus Yilmaz as its central bank governor of the year. “With nearly 30 years’ experience at the central bank, Durmus Yilmaz is the ideal person to steer the country’s financial system through the global credit crisis," said the respected magazine. He will receive the honor at an Oct. 6.ceremony at Istanbul’s Hilton Hotel.
