150 garbage trucks delivered to Egypt by Bayraktar and Yilmaz

Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan has promised the Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi during his visit to the country that Turkey was going to send 150 garbage trucks to Egypt in an effort to support a campaign to clean up its environment. In a ceremony which was attended by Environment and Urbanism Minister Erdogan Bayraktar and Development Minister Cevdet Yilmaz in Cairo over the weekend, 150 garbage trucks worth 20 million Turkish liras were delivered to Egypt.  Speaking at the ceremony, Bayraktar said that they were there to take an important step of friendship and brotherhood with prime minister's say-so. As part of the ceremony, a memorandum of understanding was also signed between the two countries. Accordingly, the ministry will support the technical maintenance of garbage trucks and the training of Egyptian personnel, and also extend assistance to the construction of waste sorting facilities and low-cost housings, and implementation of urban transformation projects in Egypt.
