Turkish chemicals sector exports last year are expected to total $12 billion, said Turkish Union of Chambers and Commodities Exchanges (TOBB) Chemicals Industry Assembly head Timur Erk on Saturday. Erk told the Anatolia news agency that the chemicals sector is one of Turkey's fastest-growing, ranking third or fourth in terms of sector-specific growth. "The sector's exports account for 10 percent of Turkey's total exports," he added. "According to TOBB data, chemicals exports for the first 10 months of 2010 exceeded $10 billion. We expect this figure to reach $12 billion for the entire year."
