Anastasiadis in favor of new relationships with Turkey

New leader of the Greek Cypriot administration, Nikos Anastasiadis, on Thursday took an oath in a ceremony and officially began serving. Speaking after the ceremony, Anastasiadis underlined that they were ready for a new relationship with Turkey in the new term. Touching on Turkey's EU bid, Anastasiadis stressed that they supported Turkish membership in the EU. Anastasiadis added that the Cyprus issue should be solved on the basis of summit agreements and the resolutions passed by the UN.
