Ankara is set today to host a hastily arranged interdelegational meeting chaired by President Abdullah Gul and his Turkish Cypriot counterpart Dervis Eroglu focused on recent developments on the property issue, a contentious part of comprehensive talks to solve the Cyprus issue, as well as the work of the Turkish Cypriot Real Estate Commission. Also attending the meeting will be the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) prime minister, a number of Cabinet ministers, and other relevant officials. After the meeting, Eroglu will return to the island for a meeting in the Cypriot buffer zone with Greek Cypriot administration leader Demetris Christofias to discuss the same property issue.
