Ankara will welcome world leaders from various countries on Monday for the signing ceremony of an intergovernmental agreement on the Nabucco pipeline, a project meant to supply gas to Europe. Bulgaria, Hungary and Austria are expected to be represented by their prime ministers at the ceremony, while Romania will probably be represented by its president. A US delegation led by Special Envoy for Eurasian Energy Affairs Ambassador Richard Morningstar will attend the ceremony in a show of US support for the project, while Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili is also expected to represent his country. European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso will attend the ceremony to represent the European Union.
