Arinc holds contacts in Bosnia-Herzegovina

Deputy Prime Minister Bulent Arinc on Wednesday visited Bosnian town of Visoko, northwest of Sarajevo, and met with Mayor of Visoko Amra Babic who is the first in her country and the continent to wear headscarf. During the meeting, Arinc said that she was very popular in Turkey that if she stood as a candidate in an election in Turkey, she would be elected. Arinc added that he had kinship relations in Bosnia, as his brother's aunt is a Bosnian living in Turkey's northern city of Tuzla. For her part, Babic defined Turkey as a brother country and stressed the importance of and her gladness over the support provided by Turkey for its EU and NATO membership. Babic also thanked Arinc for the support given by Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and the Turkish government and people with regard to integrity and sovereignty of Bosnia-Herzegovina.
