The meeting of the Council of Ministers, chaired by Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, was held yesterday in Ankara. Speaking to reporters following the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Bulent Arinc strongly condemned the kidnapping of the Republican People's Party (CHP) deputy Huseyin Aygun by terrorist PKK, describing the incident as "troubled and ugly." Arinc said the government, which was greatly saddened by the incident, discussed the issue in detail. In reply to a question whether Turkish jet was downed in Syrian airspace or not, Arinc said that he earlier made detailed information about the matter. Stating that there is no official document or information that would disprove the information that Turkey had regarding the downed jet, Arinc said that the course of the jet was definite and where it was downed was clear.
