Arinc: "Turkey is ready to support Uganda's public sector investments"
Turkish businessmen have reached several trade deals with Ugandan businessmen, and Turkey would like to support investments in the Ugandan public sector, said State Minister Bulent Arinc yesterday. Arinc, currently in Uganda for the Turkish-Ugandan Joint Economic Commission (KEK), told East African Business Week news service that direct flights to Uganda are important for boosting bilateral trade, along with land and sea routes. He said the Turkish Confederation of Businessmen and Industrialists (TUSKON) organized a business forum with more than 200 attendees this week, and many business deals were signed there. He also said Uganda has a large electricity shortage which Turkey can help solve.
