Armenia not to attend Eurovision Song Contest in Baku

Armenia has decided not to participate in the 57th Eurovision song contest which will be held at the capital of Azerbaijan, Baku this year.

Armenia has decided not to participate in the 57th Eurovision song contest which will be held at the capital of Azerbaijan, Baku this year. According to a statement on the official web site of the Eurovision song contest, Armenia decided not to participate in this year's contest. The statement also covered the opinions of Jon Ola Sand, executive supervisor of the 57th Eurovision song contest of the European Broadcasting Union. Sand said that they felt regret because of Armenia's decision not to join the contest, despite the facilitation provided for Armenia by European Broadcasting Union and official broadcasting agency of the song contest. The number of countries that will join the contest in Baku decreased to 42 after the decision made by Armenia.
