Armenian diaspora criticizes Clinton's remarks
One of the largest Armenian diaspora groups in the US, the Armenian National Committee of America (ANCA), has criticized US Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton for her recent remarks regarding the adoption by the French Senate of a bill that criminalizes denial of Armenian allegations pertaining to the incidents of 1915. Clinton has said last Friday that trying to use government power to resolve historical issues opens a door that is a very dangerous one to go through. In response to this, ANCA Executive Director Aram Hamparian said, "Based on Clinton's latest remarks, the Obama-Biden Administration continues to dig itself deeper and deeper into a hole of complicity in Turkey's genocide denial."
