With the initiative of the Turkish Culture and Tourism Ministry and the Turkish International Cooperation and Development Agency (TIKA), the Macedonian house of Turkish Republican founder Mustafa Kemal Ataturk's father, Ali Riza Efendi, has been reconstructed as its original and become a museum. As part of the project, the unique architecture of Ottoman houses in the region has been examined in detail and authenticity of the structure has been taken into careful consideration during the reconstruction. The life of Ataturk's father along with information regarding the Turkish people living in Macedonia will reportedly be given in the museum. Villagers think that thanks to the reconstruction, the village will become home to new people and attract tourists, allowing it to return to its former lively days under the Ottomans.
