When final figures for last year are released, Turkey's growth in 2010 could total more than 8 percent, said Deputy Prime Minister for the Economy Ali Babacan yesterday. This growth rate was the result of high consumer and producer confidence, he explained. "Exact growth figures for 2010 will be announced at the end of this month," said Babacan. "Turkey's growth rate in 2010 was the highest in Europe. Employment rose by 1.3 million people. This figure is one of the best in the world."
