Bagis: Mideast monitors Turkey's EU process

Chief negotiator for talks with European Union has said that Middle East nations, media and governments closely monitored Turkey’s EU negotiation process. In his article published in the weekly newspaper “European Voice”, Chief Negotiator for EU Talks Egemen Bagis said that Turkey, thanks to its democratization process and socio-economic transformation, had become a source of inspiration for change supporters in the Middle East and North Africa. Pointing to Middle East’s interest in Turkey’s EU process, Bagis said Arab communities wanted freedom and change for today, and democracy and prosperity for tomorrow.
