Biden to travel to Turkey on friday
US Vice President Joe Biden will travel to Turkey on Friday to meet with Turkish leaders and attend the Global Entrepreneurship Summit in Istanbul, his National Security Advisor Tony Blinken said during a briefing yesterday. Blinken said that Biden would discuss comprehensive partnership and cooperation issues between Turkey and the US during his talks. Stating that they have been working in cooperation with Turkey with regard to the most important international issues, Blinken said that Biden would also talk about the support provided by the US for Turkey particularly in its fight against the terrorist PKK. Blinken added that during his contacts, Biden would focus on the PKK issue which is a common enemy both to the US and Turkey.
