Bosnian Minister appreciates Turkey's support for NATO membership

Bosnia and Herzegovina's minister of defense expressed his appreciation for Turkey's support for his country's NATO membership yesterday.Defense Minister Muhamed Ibrahimovic said Turkey is a country that attaches great importance to the multicultural structure of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Ibrahimovic's remarks came after Serbian leader Milorad Dodik criticized Turkey's diplomatic efforts supporting Bosnia and Herzegovina's membership of NATO. "Turkey supports the multi-national, multi-religious and multi-cultural aspects of Bosnia and Herzegovina," Ibrahimovic said. Ibrahimovic said the decision to become a NATO member has been approved by the parliaments of the two political entities forming Bosnia and Herzegovina and that the country's NATO membership and support of other countries in this process should not be a matter of discussion or criticism. Ibrahimovic highlighted the importance of Turkey's support and active efforts for Bosnia and Herzegovina's NATO membership as an important member of the alliance
