Speaking to a group of reporters on his way back from Somalia to Turkey, Deputy Prime Minister Bekir Bozdag said that Somali people had a considerably positive approach towards Turkey. "We see that there are many constructions which are underway in the country. As the officials told us, history of Somalia has changed with the efforts exerted by Turkey. They define Turkey as a symbol of change and hope," Bozdag said. Stating that Somali people consider the day when Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan landed in Mogadishu as a turning point for this country, Bozdag said that the reopening of Turkish embassy in Somalia was the second most important step to them. "For them, the regular flights launched by the Turkish Airlines (THY) to Somali are the third most important step.  They think that Somali was connected to all over the world through the THY. Here, approximately 500 Somali people work for Turkish institutions," Bozdag said, adding that Turkey would provide 500 Somali students with health and technical training in Turkey.
