Things are on the right track in Turkey, and the lira isn't overvalued, said Central Bank Governor Erdem Basci yesterday. Basci also dismissed talk that a possible economic crisis in Europe could affect Turkey, saying, "Things are going well in Turkey. We do not foresee a rise in interest rates." After his statement, the US dollar dropped to 1.67 TL and the stock market climbed 2.21 percent.
