Turkish Parliament Speaker Cemil Cicek warned the France Parliament about possible outcomes of the French bill aimed at penalizing denial of alleged Armenian genocide in France, saying that approval of the bill might cause irreparable damages to relations between Turkey and France. "Those who cause unwanted incidents for the two sides by provoking our Armenian citizens with whom we have lived peacefully in the past are now using an historical issue as a political tool to gain more votes in elections through a greedy manner. The issue should be researched not by politicians, but by historians," said Cicek, expressing hope that common sense would prevail in tomorrow's voting session.
