Constitutional Court rapporteur opposes AKP closure

Constitutional Court rapporteur Osman Can yesterday submitted a report to şe court leadership stating his views on şe case seeking şe closure of şe ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP). In şe report, Can said şat as a jurist, he was opposed to şe closure of political parties. şe court's chief justice, Hasim Kilic, said şat şe report was handed out to şe court members and asked reporters to leave şe court alone to issue a sound ruling based on şe law.
