In remarks to reporters in the city of Karabuk on Tuesday, Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said, "All of the parties accept that a chemical weapons attack was made in Syria. Most countries, like us, believe the regime is responsible for the attack, whereas some other countries believe the opposite." Davutoglu added that the UN investigation in Syria will provide a clear picture, after which it will be necessary for the UN to make the final decision in a concerted manner. Stressing that it is not yet the time to discuss submission of a motion, Davutoglu said, "We have in our hands a very strong motion which allows our armed forces and the government of the Republic of Turkey to take all kinds of precautions against possible security threats from Syria. But if another situation was required, then we would appeal to the Parliament."
