Over a phone call to his counterpart Lebanese FM Adnan Mansour, FM Davutoglu emphasized that every effort should be made to set the abducted Turkish pilots free at once. According to the diplomatic sources, the two ministers discussed the latest developments on the subject of the abducted Turkish pilots. Lebanese FM Mansour strongly condemned the abduction of Turkish pilots and noted that the security forces are working very hard to ensure their release. Lebanese press reported that FM Davutoglu voiced his concern to his Lebanese counterpart saying “the incident could endanger bilateral ties and have negative repercussions” should two pilots abducted last week not be freed.
