Davutoglu holds contacts in Brussels

Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu on Wednesday met with EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton and European Commissioner for Enlargement Stefan Fule in Brussels. During the meeting which lasted one and a half hours, Davutoglu and Ashton discussed the developments in Syria, Balkans and Turkey's relations with EU. Davutoglu also attended a luncheon with Fule which was given by members of the Friends of Turkey Group in the European Parliament, where he replied to questions from Parliament members with regard to Turkey's accession talks, visa issues and political developments in Turkey. Following the luncheon, Davutoglu and Fule held a tete-a-tete and discussed Turkey's accession process. As part of his visit, Davutoglu also met with Belgian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Didier Reynders.
