Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu yesterday made a final warning to France, urging it to ensure that the bill criminalizing the rejection of Armenian allegations on 1915 incidents is not approved by the French Senate in a voting to be held today. Speaking to the France 24 TV channel, Davutoglu stressed that if France's stance on the issue remained the same, Turkey would impose permanent sanctions on France. "We hope that we won't have to announce these sanctions. But don't think that Turkey will remain silent. There will be new sanctions and this time they will remain permanent, until France changes its stance. Now it's time for French intellectuals and senators to advocate freedom of expression."
