Davutoglu: "Both ruling and opposition parties have been loyal to Turkey's EU goal"

There has been no letup in Turkey's interest in its European Union membership, said Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu yesterday. After meeting with his German counterpart Frank-Walter Steinmeier in Berlin, Davutoglu told a joint press conference that Turkey's ruling and opposition parties have both been loyal to Ankara's goal of EU membership. Stating that Turkey will reject any alternatives to full membership, he underlined the importance of Turkey as an energy hub for Europe.
