Davutoglu to hold contacts on Turkey's EU membership bid in Brussels

Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu will be in Brussels today to hold contacts on Turkey's EU membership bid. As part of his visit, Davutoglu is scheduled to meet with EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton and European Commissioner for Enlargement Stefan Fule. Davutoglu will also meet the members of the Friends of Turkey Group in the European Parliament and participate in a panel on "EU and Turkey: Facing the challenges of the Arab Spring" together with Co-Chairman of the Greens Group at the European Parliament Daniel Cohn-Bendit. During his visit to Brussels, Davutoglu will also open a photo exhibition titled "Time in Turkey," which is sponsored by the Zaman daily.
