Foreign Minister Davutoglu met his American, French and British counterparts in Paris at the Syria summit to hold elaborate talks on the crisis in Syria. The three ministers emphasized Turkey's crucial role regarding the situation in Syria and said that Turkey's views and concerns are of great significance, while Davutoglu underlined the need to take effective steps to stop the regime. He also said that a no-fly zone in Syria was crucial to stop the massacres, which would also pave the way for a humanitarian corridor for the people in need in the country. Expressing Turkey's positive look on the US-Russia deal on chemical weapons, Davutoglu described the non-chemical attacks by the regime as "massacres". Davutoglu also commented on the Syrian helicopter shot down by Turkish jets, saying that Turkey has taken all necessary precautions and that no one will dare to violate Turkey's borders ever again
