Deputy Prime Minister and State Minister Bulent Arinc told a local television station in Diyarbakir that it is necessary to fulfil the social demand to solve the Kurdish problem."We are doing our best and we will continue to do it. This problem should be solved in order to stand Turkey up. If there is terrorism on one side and if we see that the Kurdish problem has not been solved yet on the other side, this cannot be considered a complete success. So we have to solve an identity problem, a terrorism problem and an economic underdevelopment problem. 30 years later we see that if you try to suppress terrorism through violence, through weapons, you cannot solve it. There is a need for political and economic measures and it is necessary to fulfil the social demand for a solution," Arinc said.
