Despite strained ties between Turkey and Israel over last year's flotilla raid that claimed the lives of nine Turks, cooperation between the two countries on scientific and trade projects continues to develop. This week the Turkish Scientific and Technological Research Council (TUBITAK) announced that in cooperation with the Israeli Industry Center for R&D (MATIMOP) it will develop joint R&D projects, focusing on developing innovative products and applications in all fields, including information and communication technologies, biotechnology, medical devices, food technologies, and automotive. The projects will be supported under the European Eureka program.
