Economic package of TRNC presentes to Erdogan

Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan yesterday received Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) Prime Minister Irsen Kucuk at a meeting which was closed to the press corps in Ankara. During the meeting, Kucuk presented the economic package prepared by the TRNC. Reportedly, Erdogan gave a favorable opinion on the package covering the 2013-2015 period which has been prepared by the TRNC government and presented to Ankara for the first time in its history. Speaking to the Millliyet daily, Kucuk said, "We have prepared a package to be supported by Turkey. Our aim is to ensure that the TRNC stands on its own feet." Speaking on the issue, TRNC Economy and Energy Minister Sunat Atun said that the package would make contributions to the current budget and investment, adding that they have taken the budget deficit under control and that they would ensure economic growth thanks to the package.
