Erdogan, Davutoglu in foreign policy's top 100 global thinkers
The Foreign Policy magazine published its annual list of the "top 100 global thinkers," which includes novelists, activists and heads of state from around the world. Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan and Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu jointly ranked the 16th among the top global thinkers who figure in the magazine's prestigious list, which also includes US President Barack Obama. World leaders such as Nicolas Sarkozy, Angela Merkel and David Cameron are featured among the first 40. The top nine positions in the list are occupied by leading Arab revolutionaries including Mohamed Elbaradei from Egypt, the former IAEA chief; Ali Ferat, the Syrian human rights lawyer and cartoonist, and the 10th position is jointly occupied by the three central bank governors of US, France and China for steering the world amid crisis.
