Erdogan in Pakistan as part of official visit

Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, accompanied by his wife Emine Erdogan a delegation, yesterday arrived in Islamabad, Pakistan, where he was welcomed by Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu, Turkey's Ambassador to Pakistan Mustafa Babur and Pakistani officials. Within the framework of his official visit, Erdogan will meet with Egyptian President Mohammed Mursi and Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to discuss regional issues, mainly the Syrian issue, as part of the D-8 meeting. Erdogan is also set to attend a dinner to be hosted by his Pakistani counterpart Raja Pervez Ashraf in his honor and hold a tete-a-tete with Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari. After making a speech at the D-8 meeting, Erdogan will also attend a luncheon to be hosted by Zardari.
