Erdogan phones Mikati to extend condolences

Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan called Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati on the phone on Sunday and expressed his sincere condolences over the death of innocent civilians during the Tripoli and Ruweis explosions, said sources from the Office of the Prime Minister. Erdogan also expressed his county's solidarity with Lebanon during the current difficult times and pointed to the key role of peace and stability in Lebanon for the whole region. The talk between the two leaders also touched on the issue of abducted Turkish pilots, whereby Erdogan thanked Mikati for efforts of the Lebanese government to ensure their release.
