Erdogan: "Barroso has a special project for Cyprus"

European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso is planning a special project for Cyprus, Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said yesterday, but without providing further detail. Attending the current G20 summit in Seoul, South Korea, Erdogan told reporters that when he discussed Cyprus with Barroso, the EP head said that he himself would implement a new project on Cyprus. In addition, Erdogan said that they discussed the European Commission progress report on Turkey released this week, and that Barroso told him that the report reflects how Turkey has reached a better point in its reforms, and that it will get better still tomorrow.
