Erdogan to visit Iraq in October
A preparatory meeting for a Turkey-Iraq High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council, led by Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu, was yesterday held at the Foreign Ministry, with the attendance of State Minister for Foreign Trade Zafer Caglayan, Interior Minister Besir Atalay, Energy Minister Taner Yildiz, Transportation Minister Binali Yildirim, and Health Minister Recep Akdag. Afterwards, Davutoglu said that Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan is expected to visit Iraq in October, and that the council meeting would take place in Baghdad during Erdogan's visit. He added that he will visit Iraq next month to hold bilateral talks with high-level officials.
