Erdogan visits disaster area

Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan yesterday arrived in the eastern province of Van which was hit by a 7.2-magnitude earthquake yesterday along with Interior Minister Idris Naim Sahin, Environment and Urbanization Minister Erdogan Bayraktar, Transportation Minister Binali Yildirim, National Education Minister Omer Dincer and his daughter Sumeyye Erdogan. Erdogan expressed his condolences to families of victims and wished the injured people a quick recovery. He also instructed relevant ministries with regard to aid to be extended and stressed that whatever necessary would be done in order to heal the wounds as soon as possible. Republican People’s Party (CHP) leader Kemal Kilicdaroglu will also visit the disaster area today.
