EU's Turkey delegation undersecretary meets with Parliament Gender Equality Commission

A delegation chaired by Diego Mellado, the undersecretary of the European Commission's Turkey Delegation, yesterday made a presentation to Parliament's Gender Equality Commission on EU policies in the area. During the meeting, Mellado said that the EU had nearly met its 60% goal of overall gender equality but that in Turkey this figure lags at 22%.
