FM Davutoglu due in northern Iraq

Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu and State Minister for Foreign Trade Zafer Caglayan, accompanied by businessmen and reporters, today will fly to Basra, northern Iraq. Following the opening ceremony of the new Turkish Consulate in the city, the delegation will meet with Berham Salih, the regional Kurdish administration’s new prime minister. Afterwards, Caglayan and the businessmen will attend a business forum at the Erbil congress center. Salih will hold a dinner in honor of the Turkish delegation, and then Davutoglu and Caglayan will meet with Massoud Barzani, the regional administration's president. The next day, the delegation will attend a working breakfast with Nechirvan Barzani, the administration's former premier, and then proceed to Mosul to attend the opening ceremony of that city's new Turkish Consulate.
