FM Davutoglu visits Iran

Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu paid an official visit to Iran over the weekend and met with Saeed Jalili, the secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council and chief nuclear negotiator. During their one-hour meeting, Davutoglu reportedly submitted a proposal for Turkey to host negotiations between Iran and Western countries over Tehran's controversial nuclear program. Iranian state television said that Davutoglu and Jalili also discussed further improving bilateral relations. Davutoglu also met with Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmedinejad and his Iranian counterpart Manouchehr Mottaki.
