Foreign Minister Davutoglu protest against Iraq
Meeting with Cameroonian Foreign Minister Pierre Moukoko Mbonjo yesterday in Ankara, Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu showed his country's reaction to Iraq Prime Minister Maliki's statements about Turkey during the press conference. Citing the tension between Kurdistan Regional Government of Northern Iraq and central government in Baghdad and also the Hashemi issue, Davutoglu underlined that the latest tension between two countries is derived from the domestic problems of that country. Yesterday Turkey summoned Iraq's charge d'affaires, a tit-for-tat move a day after Baghdad summoned Turkey's ambassador in a top-level diplomatic row that has heightened regional tensions.
