Foreign ministers meet in Belgrade

The 26th Meeting of the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) was held in the Serbian capital Belgrade on June 11, 2012. Sladjana Prica, the Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia, chaired the meeting representing the Serbian Chairmanship-in-Office of the Organization, while Turkish Deputy Foreign Minister Naci Koru was also in attendance. In the meeting’s working session, ministers exchanged views on issues of common concern to the region. They acknowledged that the 20th Anniversary of the Organization presented a valuable opportunity to renew commitments, take stock of the past in the light of successes and lessons learnt, and to thoroughly address the difficulties facing the BSEC, as well as its shortcomings.
