The Foreign Ministry has denied it has any plans to hand over a number of recently defected Syrian generals in order to release two Turkish journalists, namely, Adem Ozkose and Hamit Coskun, who were reportedly captured in Syria last week. Furthermore, Iranian Ambassador to Turkey Behmen Huseyinpur said that Tehran would help Turkey find two missing Turkish journalists. Speaking to the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA), Huseyinpur stressed that Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu has made a telephone conversation with his Iranian counterpart Ali Akbar Salehi to ensure that two missing Turkish journals are released. "Iran will do its best with regard to the issue. We hope these journalists will be found as soon as possible," Huseyinpur said.
