Former Israeli Deputy Foreign Minister Danny Ayalon said that he did not believe the Israeli government would create any trouble about the apology made by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to Turkey for a 2010 raid on a Gaza-bound flotilla which ended with eight Turks and an American of Turkish origin dead. "I believe that the majority of Israeli people stand behind Netanyahu," Ayalon said. Ayalon also noted that Israel and Turkey, two important countries in the region to establish cooperation in economy and politics, shared similar concerns over the Syria and Iran issues. "I would like to come to Turkey to visit my friends in Ankara and take a holiday in Antalya," Ayalon added.
