Former Israeli PM Olmert: "Erdogan is a fair mediator"

Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan is a "fair mediator," and peace with Syria is possible, but Israel will need Turkey's mediation for this, said the country's former Prime Minister Ehud Olmert yesterday. Speaking at Tel Aviv University, Olmert criticized current Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and lamented tense relations with Turkey and a lack of contact with Syria. "Erdogan is a fair mediator," he added. "We need Turkish mediation for negotiations."
