French President Sarkozy set to visit Turkey by year's-end

During a working lunch with representatives of Muslim groups in France yesterday, French President Nicolas Sarkozy said that he wants to visit Turkey before the New Year. Among the attendees at the lunch at the Elysee Palace was Islamic Council of France Deputy Chair Haydar Demiryurek, who was born in Turkey and emigrated to France. Addressing the importance of Turkey, Sarkozy told the meeting that he was determined to pay the visit, as he said earlier, but gave no date.
