G-8 analysis: "A Turkey strong in its region is indispensable"

In a new analysis published for this week's G-8 meeting, host country Italy said that in the view of the G-8, along with countries such as Brazil, Mexico, China, India and South Africa, Turkey is a country of proven regional power. The analysis said that Turkey and other countries which have regional influence will be among the countries consulted at important G-8 summits. Turkey being invited to the summit confirms its status as a regional power, it added.
