General Electric CEO visits Taner Yildiz, reiterates investment plans

General Electric still plans to invest $900 million in Turkey, GE CEO Jeffrey Immelt said during his visit to Energy Minister Taner Yildiz on Thursday. Immelt said they were very eager to hold talks with Turkey concerning the LED technology, wind power and gas tribunes, adding that there would be some announcements during his visit about the company's investment plans in Turkey. In return, Yildiz said that GE would play a significant role in realizing Turkey's energy projects and maintaining the change and development in the energy sector of Turkey.
