Germany wait for Turkish tourists

The 39th edition of Germany Travel Mart, the most important tourism workshop in Germany, was organized in Stuttgart with the participation of 620 international sector representatives and over 350 tourism companies from 38 countries. Speaking at the event, President of the German Tourism Board Petra Hedorfer gave information about the tourism sector in Germany. Stating that the number of tourists visiting Germany increased by 7.3 percent to climb to 45.8 million in 2012, Hedorfer said that they expected the German tourism to grow by 2-3 percent in 2013. Hedorfer added that they focused on young and middle-aged people from Turkey. Addressing the Turkish tourists, Hedorfer said, "We are waiting for Turks in Germany this year. We will be also having a holiday in Turkey.
